John Masterson
John Masterson, Managing Director.

John Masterson has a Ph. D in Psychology from Trinity College, Dublin and lectured in UCG and TCD before moving to RTE as a television producer. While at RTE, he produced programmes across the schedule, from Today Tonight to the Late Late Show, and worked with leading presenters and artists including Gay Byrne, Brendan O’Carroll, Ryan Tubridy, Ray D’Arcy, Shauna Lowry, Olivia O’Leary, Dave Fanning, Noirin Ni Riain, Brian Farrell, Mary Kennedy, Marty Whelan, Eleanor Shanley, Ronnie Drew and Neven Maguire.
John is a columnist and travel writer with the Sunday Independent and an independent TV producer. He has published three books “Facing Up To AIDS,” with John Mordaunt (O’Brien Press, 1989,) and “Working It Out,” (Mercier Press, 2004.) John’s third book, “The Column I Never Wrote” was released in March 2022, and is available from www.theharvestpress.ie.
John is Agent for Neven Maguire and Mary Kennedy.
In his first role on the big screen John played the part of Mack in “Mrs Brown, D’Movie”, released in June 2014. Making his small screen debut, John appeared in The Mrs. Brown’s Boys New Year’s Day Special 2022 as Uncle Mickey.
