Purcell Masterson is seeking a Junior Account Executive Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate is serious about a career in PR and Communications and would like to gain some agency experience.

Purcell Masterson is a Public Relations and Communications Agency based in Co. Kilkenny. Established in 2002, Purcell Masterson delivers insightful, creative and results drive national and regional communication campaigns.

From writing media releases, developing photography concepts, learning more about different commercial sectors, multitasking and prioritising, thinking creatively in a fast-paced environment and building relationships. No two days are ever alike.

The Junior Account Executive Internship is an exciting opportunity for a motivated candidate to become an integral part of our team. 

The position is based remotely with daily Zoom/ WhatsApp internal meetings plus a weekly face to face catch-up in Kilkenny City Centre. This is a part-time position of 15 hours per week.

Duties of the Junior Account Executive

  • Drafting and editing press materials and other content 
  • Add creative input for PR campaigns
  • Liaising with media and managing correspondence
  • Creating and maintaining media lists
  • Conducting research
  • Social and digital media management 
  • Creating media coverage reports
  • Administrative duties 
  • Supporting senior account managers with a variety of tasks

The ideal candidate is a team player who is capable of working independently and has: 

  • A relevant third level qualification
  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills.
  • An ability to write to media and other marketing materials such as press releases, pitch letters and digital content.
  • A common-sense and solution-focused mind-set
  • An exceptional work ethic
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Is capable of working under pressure
