Kilkenny’s Ristorante Rinuccini Celebrates Fifteen Years in Michelin Guide

Kilkenny’s Ristorante Rinuccini is celebrating its fifteenth year in the renowned Michelin Guide. Having first featured in the Guide in 2000, this year’s listing states “this family-owned restaurant is well known locally” and cites its “classic Italian cuisine with home-made ravioli a speciality.”

With Kilkenny now considered one of Ireland’s top dining destinations, other local restaurants featured in the Michelin Guide include the Michelin starred Campagne and the Lady Helen Restaurant in Mount Juliet, as well as Zuni and Foodworks.

Kilkenny’s longest established restaurant, Ristorante Rinuccini is renowned for its cuisine, service, décor and wine menu. With menus specially created by ‘Chef of the Year’ Antonio Cavaliere the restaurant has achieved multiple awards for its food and wine offer, service and chef. A highly successful family business, Head Chef/Owner Antonio is joined by his wife Marian, who works front of house, his son Riccardo who manages the business, and Riccardo’s wife Orla.

The restaurant offers a number of exclusive Italian wines, imported directly from Antonio’s home surrounds of Lazio on the west coast of Italy and handpicked by the family from the very best vineyards. Showcasing its wines, the restaurant houses a custom-made wine cellar diners can visit to choose their favourites.

The restaurant’s Italian produce is also sourced and imported directly from Italy – including the finest olive oils, charcuterie and cheeses, while its sumptuous décor features beautiful hand blown Murano glass from Venice.

A long-time supporter of Kilkenny and the South-East’s quality suppliers, Ristorante Rinuccini is the only city based restaurant invited to become a member of Good Food Ireland for its commitment to using the best of seasonal, fresh, local produce.

Using these ingredients, the restaurant has launched its new winter lunch menu which includes – Antipasto Rinuccini, with Italian meats, olives and delicious garlic Ciabatta; Crostini di Salmone Affumicato with organic West Cork Smoked Salmon; and Tagliata di Filetto di Manzo with seared, chilled Irish beef and 24 month aged Parmesan.

Ristorante Rinuccini has been chosen as a finalist in the ‘Excellence in Hospitality’ category in this weekend’s Glanbia Kilkenny Business Awards.
