Former investment banker turned gluten-free baker, Denise O’ Callaghan, has launched her first book of gluten-free recipes, titled ‘Delicious’.
Founder of Ireland’s first gluten-free artisan bakery in 2008, Denise’s Delicious Gluten-Free Bakery has grown substantially, now employing a team of ten operating from the company’s base in Cork.
One of Ireland’s leading producers of cakes and baked products for Coeliacs* and those following a ‘free from’ gluten, wheat, dairy and yeast free lifestyle, Denise’s Delicious Gluten-Free Bakery product ranges are available in Ireland from the major multiples.
With an increasing national trend for gluten-free, latest research* finds that one Irish person in every 120 requires gluten-free products. Denise’s Delicious Gluten-Free Bakery products are also served in Aer Lingus Premium Class and the award-winning range will launch in the French and Italian gourmet food markets this Christmas. Speaking both French and Italian, Denise’s new book ‘Delicious’ will also launch in France later this year and having worked with Italian Coeliacs, she has a unique insight into the Italian ‘free-from’ market, a country which has the highest European incidence of coeliac disease after Ireland.
Denise’s Delicious Gluten-Free Bakery is also reviewing the US market where there are very limited gluten-free options, particularly the East Coast which has a particularly high incidence of coeliac disease.
